  • Notes: A unique bookwork in the form of an irregularly faceted 3-dimensional object made of cardboard polygons hinged together with steel pins. Certain of the pins can be removed to reveal an interior divided into 4 compartments by 4 additional polygons at 90 ̊to one another. On both sides of each polygon have been mounted drawings in colored inks, pencil and watercolors. The drawings consist of human figures, some mythological animals, brief texts in German, English and Latin, and writing-like marks. They make reference to the 4 elements, astrological and alchemical signs, colors, sexuality, and traditional emblems. The work was made during the artist's residence at the Herzog August Bibliothek Wolfenbüttel. The binding structure was made by Daniel Kelm of the Wide-Awake Garage.
