  • Summary: The print shows a workshop where various arts are being practiced. A sculptor standing on a platform labelled STATVARIA, carves with a chisel and a hammer a statue of Roma, with the river God and a wolf with Romulus and Remus at her feet, while below an artist models the sculpture of a horse, which is labelled SCVLTVRA. At right, a painter works on the fresco of a battle ("PICTVRA). The practice of anatomy is signified by the presence at left of a cadaver and skeleton, which are drawn by two young boys. An engraver with a burin and a copperplate sits at a table, labelled "Typorum æneorum / INCISORIA."
