  • Biographical/Historical Note: Achille Villani began to photograph in 1914 and registered his business officially in 1921. He was soon joined by his young son, Vittorio and other members of the family. An older Bolognese photographer, Felice Croci, also joined them and the company slowly and deliberately built their documentation of Bolognese art and architecture to its present strength.
