    Dedication to Caritas Pirckheimer, abbess of St. Clara in Nuremberg and sister of Willibald Pirckheimer.
    The humanist, poet, and monk Benedikt Schwalbe (Chelidonius) belonged to the monastery Schottenkloster, Saint Aegidius, in Nuremberg. In 1515, he transferred to the Schottenstiff in Vienna, where he was abbot from 1518 to 1521 (Cf. Posset). His devotional texts were also included in Passio Christi ab Alberto Dürer (Nuremberg, 1511).
